The advanced optics and electronics provide high first pass read rates for a wide range of labels. The electronics easily compensate for varying scan speed to accommodate human factors.  The engineering grade polymer housing protects the functional parts of the scanner from accidental damage without adding excessive weight to the scanner.  The scanner only consumes 20mA of power. It can often be incorporated into a device without upgrading the power supply.  The slot scanners are available as un-decoded devices or with built in decoding electronics. Both RS-232 and keyboard wedge devices are available.  The scanners undecoded version weighs less than two ounces (52g) and the decoded versions weigh less than 2.5 ounces (66g). The small footprint allows mounting in small spaces for ease of placement.  Both visible red and infrared illumination systems are available. The IR version is ideal for security applications.
