All valid government issued drivers licenses and most ID cards can now be read electronically by one device. The Model 250 is a high performance 2 dimensional (PDF417) bar code reader with a built in High Performance 3 track Magnetic Stripe Reader. State and Federal agencies have become standardized on the use of 2D barcodes, and the Desktop License Scanner provides a reliable low cost method of efficiently reading that code. The Desktop License Scanner has the capability to read not only drivers licenses, but most government issued ID, including military ID cards. Combined with one of InData Systems License Scanning Software packages, such as the Universal Data Feeder Software, the Desktop License Scanner has the capability to feed and store information to your custom database. This can quickly as well as accurately fill out forms  from the information on the license or ID. Additionally, the Model 250 can be used for swiping credit card information to process sales transactions. The many applications include convenience stores, liquor stores, supermarkets for cigarette and beer sales, bars and clubs, gun registration, and virtually anyplace where age verification or demographics of a customer is required.
