| NEC BCK5000 series wedge scanners support a range of PC's, including the XT, AT and PS-2. Some older MAC PC's are also supported by this scanner. Like the NEC BCH5433 series scanners, three sizes are supported and the CCD imager is a very high resolution 3,648 element type. NEC Scanner Features - Direct Keyboard Interface - The scanner directly connects with the keyboard and the PC keyboard port with its Y cable. Scanned data is transmitted as keyboard data. - Software Transparent - If data is now being keyed in, a conversion to bar code data entry can be made without any soft- ware changes. - High Move Tolerance - Reads a bar code moving in vertical and/or horizontal directions at a relative speed of up to 10 inches per second. This allows faster and more accurate data entry. - Reads all Standard Codes - Automatically discriminates and reads UPC/EAN, CODE39, CODABAR, Interleaved 2 of 5, CODE128, and CODE93 codes. It can also read UPC/EAN with 2 or 5 digit addendum. - Low Fatigue Operation - The choice of Auto trigger or the use of the dual triggers plus the wrist neutral operation allow for long periods of use with minimum fatigue and freedom from repetitive motion injuries. - Choice of Models - The three models of wedge scanner allow the choice from very high resolution to the widest production Video/CCD scanner available. - Reads Poorly Printed Symbols - Advanced circuitry and optics enable the scanner to read dirty or low contrast bar codes with PCS values as low as 0.3. - VIDEO/CCD Imager - The scanning system is functionally identical to a solid state, one line, TV camera. There are no moving parts to wear out, break or adjust. NEC BCK5000 Series Part configurations & Reading widths - NEC BCK5430 - 2.2 Inch Min.
