NEC Long Distance models include the NEC ES5442-LD and NEC ES5446-LD scanners. The NEC ES5442-LD includes RS-232 and wand emulation interfaces that are user selectable with the bar code menu. The NEC ES5446-LD has an AT wedge output, including many notebook PC's. The flexibility of long distance scanning, combined with the ergonomic advantages and high performance of the NEC ES5442-LD and the NEC ES5446-LD allows this scanner series to operate at several inches from the symbol for greater operation efficiencies.
